Description

The Association Training School Notes was published from February 1892 through July 1897 after which it was replaced by the Association Outlook and eventually the Association Seminar. Originally conceived as a monthly publication devoted to the general interests of the International YMCA Training School, now Springfield College, community as well as a medium of communication between the school, its former students and the students themselves, the publication describes events at the school, including board meetings, sporting events, special events, and faculty and staff work and news. Also included are updates provided by alumni, personal advertisements and announcements (wedding, jobs, etc.), annual reports from the corporation and the college president, updates by the departments, school catalogs, listing of students, graduation announcements, and articles written by professors. This page details the work of several graduates from the class of 1893, including Frank Mahan who was serving as general secretary of the YMCA during 1904 when this issue was published.
