Died: November 10, 1947, of a heart attack at the age of 79 on the family farm in Glade Township, Warren, PA
Lyman is buried in Oakland Cemetery in Warren, PA. There is a headstone with his name in Snyder Cemetery (also in Warren) located next to a relative.

Kaighn) who attended a meeting in New York City on Oct. 15, 1941, where plans to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of basketball with a two-day tournament on November 19 and November 24 were announced along with a memorial to Dr. James Naismith
