Description

Letter written by William R. Chase to Calvin J. Martin, alumni secretary at Springfield College, dated April 2, 1951. In the letter Chase tells Martin of the death of Findlay G. McDonald. Chase and McDonald were teammates on the 1892 International YMCA Training School team, and with McDonald's death, Chase believed he was the last surviving member of the team. Rev. Ernest Hildner was actually alive and well, and became the longest surviving member of the championship team, and of the first game.
